A Little Bit of Heaven is a small, family-owned aviary operated by Bill and Karen Rowland, located in the heart of the Midwest, near St. Louis. Our journey with birds began almost 35 years ago when we opened a pet store and started hand-feeding baby birds. This hands-on experience introduced us to the incredible bond and joy that comes from raising birds with love and dedication. Over time, we developed a deep passion for caring for and nurturing these intelligent, affectionate creatures. However, life led us in new directions, and we stepped away from the business for many years.

Now, in our retirement, we have the opportunity to return to something we truly love: raising and caring for baby birds. Our aviary allows us to dedicate our time and energy to hand-feeding and socializing each bird, ensuring they grow up healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. For us, it’s more than just a hobby—it’s a calling that brings us immense fulfillment and joy every day. There’s nothing like watching a young bird grow, develop its personality, and find its forever home with someone who will love and appreciate it as much as we do.
